Crying for an ugly bird
Like the striking yellow and black finch, we fly through a life of relative ease and contentment. We are attracted to fellow finches and repulsed by those who look different.
There is power in forgetting
Yet, without acceptance of the other’s regret, forgiveness is not complete.

I think some of us have stopped investing. I don’t mean money; I mean affection and attention. I mean care and concern, compassion and consideration, time and tenderness to the everyday folks we pass on the street.
