This is what I know for sure
I know that one day I will die, so that makes living now all the more important.
I know that one day my children will be grown, so that makes playing all the more important.
I know that I will make many mistakes, so that makes forgiving others all the more important.
I know that some days I will cry, so that makes laughing on other days all the more important.
I know that what I’ve been taught is good, so that makes teaching my own children all the more important.
I know that winter will come, so that makes enjoying autumn all the more important.
I know that I am quick-tempered when I am rushed, so that makes relaxing all the more important.
I know that some days I am alone, so that makes embracing when we’re together all the more important.
I know that I am loved, so that makes loving all the more important.
Living — playing — forgiving — laughing — teaching — enjoying — relaxing — embracing — loving
These are the things which matter, I know this for sure.
Despite our wish that the center of our lives will hold firm, it never does. Life is like an ever-shifting kaleidoscope — a slight change, and all the patterns alter. — Sharon Salzberg
